Today is a day that I have been waiting for for a very, very long time. The day when The Elliott Homestead Family Table comes forth to you, my readers! I’ve been tucked away in my closet hiding from my children, I mean working hard, for the last year and a half to bring this cookbook to life.
I’ve lived it. I’ve cooked it. I’ve eaten it. I’ve visualized it. And now, finally, I get to share it.
Sharing is, after all, the most fun part of cooking in the first place. If I didn’t have wonderful people to eat my food and share in the enjoyment of it with me, what a sad world this would be.
When I released From Scratch two and a half years ago, we had just moved to our homestead. The land lay before us as a palette of opportunity and we’ve been slaving away in the soil and fields for the past few years to bring it to productive life for one simple reason: the food.
The gardens were planted. The animals were bred. The food came to life – quite literally.
The Elliott Homestead Family Table
And now I get to bring that to you in a hardback, full color, photography rich book. A book that is full of whole food recipes centered around farm fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, pastured meats, natural sweeteners, and beautifully simple flavors. Not flavors found on the grocery store shelves, but flavors found in nature – right from the farm.
Don’t live on a farm? Ain’t no thang, baby. All of the ingredients can easily be sourced from your local market, store, or farmer.
Don’t like to cook from scratch? I simply won’t believe it. Perhaps you haven’t found the right method or resource yet. From scratch cooking doesn’t need to be complicated, fussy, or time consuming. It relies simply on good ingredients a few techniques. You can totally do this!
A natural extension of From Scratch, our newest cookbook The Elliott Homestead Family Table celebrates time spent preparing food, fellowship around the kitchen table, and an intentional attention to good ingredients. These dishes have been prepared and loved by my family and we’re so excited to be able to share them with yours!
Even Will is excited. He told me so.
And don’t forget… to show our love and appreciate for your support, we’ll be sending out a Certificate of Purchase in the mail on all presold copies. This can serve as a gift to someone or even as a reminder to yourself of what’s to come!
All presold copies will be signed too. Because, ya know, signatures are cool? I’m not sure… that’s just what they tell me.
Want met to put on some lipstick and seal it with a kiss? I’ll do that too.
Want me to include a lock of hair from my sheep? I can do that.
Want me to send you a box of dirty dishes from taste testing all these recipes so you can wash them for me? Consider is done.
In all seriousness my friends, not an ounce of this would be possible without you. I love and appreciate you. My family loves and appreciates you. My farm loves and appreciates you.
My belly loves and appreciates you!
I love you LOVE The Elliott Homestead Family Table.
