If there's one thing for sure I hate in the world, it's artificial scents. Insert fall diffusor blends. I used to cover my apartment from top to bottom with Febreeze each cleaning day before lighting a Pledge candle and spritzing myself in perfume.
My how times have changed.
It was after reading The Balance Plate that I began to take note of additives in things like room fresheners and fabric softeners. The more research I did, the more terrified I became. No wonder allergies and asthma have become such a problem! We're continuously filling the air in our home with toxins. Toxins that affect our central nervous system, and thus, our immune systems.
These days, we take a much more natural approach to keeping a clean home. First and foremost, we fill it with the aroma of a loving family. Attitudes emit an aroma, no doubt. We practice forgiveness, charity, service, selflessness, and love. We try and keep stress to a minimum. We fill the kitchen with stocks and stews and freshly baked bread and maple sweetened oatmeal. We air out the home on crisp, sunny days by opening windows and doors. We keep a small forrest of indoor plants in each room to help filter the air. We run Himalayan salt lamps and burn beeswax candles to produce mood-boosting negative ions.
And of course, we run essential oil diffusors around the home each and every day. These diffusors break down the oil particles and disperse them into the air – their effects can last for hours and hours.
We live within these walls and it matters to me what else is floatin' around in here. So let me share a few of my favorite fall diffusor blends with you for this delicious time of year!
Also. Stuart has helped me name them the most ridiculous things we could think of. Because it keeps us youthful and laughing.

The aromatic effect of essential oils is undeniable. We all know the way we feel when we smell our favorite supper being simmered on the stove or when we get a whiff of the morning coffee that's brewing. It makes us happy! Essential oils work much the same. We smell them. We respond – and so do our bodies.
So ditch the artificial and go with the real deal – these fall diffusor blends are ah-mazing. Your home, your family, your company, and your body will thank you.
You're the absolute coolest!
^That's what they're saying to you.
Go, rockstar, go!
And Amen.

Ooooo – I’m sooooo trying that Tuscany one. It’s amazing how many beautiful different combinations there are. I can’t stand artificial scents either. I can’t even breathe in the aisle of the grocery store. It burns my lungs…. BUT…. I can’t let go of my perfume.
Chanel No. 5 is my love language.

I’ll be trying a few of these blends out as I just got over my first cold of the year. Thankfully, it was just a runny/stuffy nose for about a week or so though.

I simply cannot stand artificial scents! I get headaches from the slightest hint of “Hawaiian breeze” or “fresh baked sugar cookies”! Thank you for these ideas! This post is going in my bookmarks.

Hi, thank you for such a detailed blog on diffuser oils. I had a question.
What are your thoughts on using patchouli essential oil for fall diffuser recipe? I am trying to put together a listicle around the same topic on aromachology oils and would love to hear your expert views on this before I freeze the content.
Thanks
