Sweetened Condensed Milk

Servings 4 cups


  • 8 cups fresh milk
  • 2 cups dehydrated whole cane sugar


  • Combine the milk and cane sugar in a large saucepan. Bring up to a simmer and whisk to combine.
  • Continue to simmer the milk over low heat, stirring often to prevent scorching, for about three hours, until the volume has reduced in half.
  • Filter the milk through cheesecloth and store in a glass jar, in the refrigerator. Eat at will.
