Homemade Beard Oil

Man. Man, oh man, oh maaaan. Do I love my husband’s beard.I know. Not everyone out there is a beard-lovin’ woman, I just happen to be one of them. I think my love for beards first came from my love of Ray LaMontagne, a singer who continues to pull at my heart strings with his raspy, love-laden melodies. Not longer after I fell in love with bearded-Ray, I met bearded-Stuart. And since then, I’ve just been a big ‘ol mess of hotness for that facial hair.Even though we live on a farm, I’d still like to think that Stuart and I can clean up pretty well. Sure, there’s usually some form of animal poop on our boots, and often times we smell of cow, but even still. This was originally why the beard oil came to fruition.Long days out on the farm will surely cause some pretty cray-cray beard action. The wind, whippin’ through it. The animals, lickin’ it. The little rascals, grabbin’ at it. The chickens, peckin’ at it. The hay, gettin’ stuck in it. The sun, beatin’ down on it.That’ll wear on a man and his beard. Or so I can assume. And pictures are worth a thousand words:Close up shot of stuff stuck in Stuart's beardDIY Beard Oil | The Elliott HomesteadBeard oil not only calms irritated skin, but it facilitates healthy hair growth, prevents any rashes, invigorates, curbs flyaways, and smells really nice. All important factors for that sexy man in my life.Naturally, I made the beard oil. It’s just how I roll. Benefits of Beard Oil

  1. Taking a few extra moments each day to groom the beard ensures no food is stuck in it. This makes social situations much less awkward for everyone.
  2. Oiled beards smell much better than non-oiled beards. That wet dog smell ain’t going to help you with the ladies.
  3. Beard oil can ensure that your beard will grow in healthy - the skin and hair roots will be so vibrant! Thus, you’ll be able to let you beard grow long. Like to your belly button, or wherever it is that you’d like.
  4. Caring for your beard with beard oil will remind you that even though you’re a man with a beard, you still mustn’t present yourself as a vagabond. This includes caring for your beard, cutting your fingernails and toenails, and showering on a semi-regular basis.

It's fun to make a man product. Men deserve delicious smelling, skin invigorating products too. Especially my man. Cause. Ya know. I'm pretty partial to him. And Amen.
