Italian Pasta Chitarra for Homemade Pasta
"Chitarra," (pronounced key-tahr-rah) is a natural wood pasta maker invented in the 1800s, originally from the Abruzzo region of Italy. This is a wonderful, special tool to have on hand for ease of pasta making! To use, simply roll your pasta dough into thin sheets (by machine or hand) and lay the pasta sheet over top of the pasta chitarra. A small rolling pin, included, is all that is needed to cut the dough into perfectly sized noddles. Sized for fettuccini (5mm) on one side of the chitarra and sized for a thinner angel hair noodle (3mm) on the other side. Made in Italy. Hand wash only.
