Candied Christmas Nuts

December 6, 2022 - 9 Comments

I'm the type of friend who gives candied Christmas nuts for gifts.

I'm also the type of friend who would love to get candied Christmas nuts as a gift.

Call me a nut. Enjoy!

Do you have a recipe listed out somewhere I can refer to? Or at least can you advise how much butter you use? Thank you!

Shaye, I love your presentations. I really like your style –your homestead cooking style, your narrative voice, your essays. I just can not spend twenty minutes looking for how much butter to put in a recipe…. Please make this easily accessible. I respect your right to being a paid blogger without the noise of the outside world. Send an email to me with the amount of butter. I don’t want to guess and guess wrong and ruin the use of my butter.

I’m starting with 1 stick of butter, usually a recipe calls for 1 or 2 🙂

I enjoyed watching the video, but found it a bit discombobulating to be inspired to make something and find no reference sheet on YouTube or your site.

Thank you!! Going to give this a try 🙂
I’ll start small with 1 stick of butter and then graduate to more when I’ve gotten the hang of it.
Love the new logo by the way!!!

I am so happy that I am not the only one feeling frustrated about the lack of documentation provided on a publicly posted cooking video….

Shaye, I support you in every way I know how. I am a member of the cooking community and a “fangirl” patron of the podcast. I buy from your sponsors. I watch your videos….

I came here because I am having company tonight and remembered your shortbread and nuts YouTube posts, both of which would have been perfect for my little gathering, and figured you would have taken the time to post the recipes on your blog. Very disappointing that I’ve now used an hour of my time trying to watch and take notes. Figured I might as well close the hour with my feedback.

Happy to support you, love your message, love what you do. My family’s income and my time helps to support your family’s income and funds you to be able to do what you love. Published written recipes would show your support for your readers and far more supportive of your message about being productive homemakers that don’t fall into the pit of online distractions.

Thank you for all you do, and I hope you’ll take this as constructively as I intend it to be.

    Merriest of Christmases, Elliot’s!

A stick of butter works just fine! They are delicious!! I used honey because I didn’t have any syrup on hand and they turned out great. Thanks, Shaye!
